GBWN connects entrepreneurial women who want to benefit from each other’s skills and experiences. Because we know strong relationships build business, we support the strengthening of business and personal relationships in a collaborative atmosphere.

The networking group was formed in 1995 by a group of like-minded individuals who felt there was a gap in the traditional networking marketplace for women. From start-ups to established businesses, women at all stages of business are welcome. We encourage the exchange of skills and ideas from a vast variety of backgrounds and experience.

As our name suggests, our group covers the preserved county of Gwent. This includes Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen, and we extend a warm welcome to women from all these areas and further afield. Our aim is to reflect the contribution that female entrepreneurs and professionals are making to business success in South Wales.

We meet monthly at the Hilton Hotel, Newport to network, listen to relevant and interesting speakers and chat over a buffet supper.

We are a not for profit organisation run by a committee of dedicated volunteers and we are proud that our members are filled with entrepreneurial spirit.
